Musings of a Crackpot

I’m a laker fan….and we just drafted a 17 year old kid. The kid just happens to be 7 foot tall He’s a project but I really hope that he turns out to be a good pick. I hope that he does’t have to live up to shaq comparisons. Man, it would be awesome to be 17 and an instant millionaire:-)

Every so often i try to make sure to step back from my ‘hamster-on-a-wheel’ life and take a look at the bigger picture of what’s going on in the world. While surfing the web I can across this and figured that i need to post a link: World Monuments Watch. This site lists the 100 most endangered cultural sites around the world. In today’s world where more and more people are focusly solely on what is immediate and material to them, this does not need to go unnoticed. Hopefully more people will read about this and find a way to contribute to helping preserve and restore these places,sites, history. Well now i’ll hop down off my soap box and get back to my coding..

Last night Saveth and Hannah came up from Atlanta to celebrate my birthday. I figured what better way to celebrate than to force them to play DDR with and against me:-) Man, oh man what i wouldn’t have given for a camcorder to record the events for the annuals of history!! I had borrowed a second DDR so two people could play at once and it was hilarious. From Saveth and Hannah, learning the DDR basics to all 3 of us trying to play double mode at once, and failing miserably, I’ve never had such a fun time playing a game. Oh what a fun time i had…I’ve missed having gaming friends in the area that don’t mind making fools of themselves and having a good time.

Questionable Content is one of my favorite webcomics. It’s well written and the characters all have a charm about them. Any one that knows me will read this one and immediately realize that i need a ‘Pintsize’ of my very own, we would get along great!

I was wrong…i don’t know how i mis-read what the interview guy said to me. But obviously i must have:-( I got an e-mail this evening around 11 from EA saying…thank you for talking with us…no positions at this time…blah blah blah…screw you tiayr….blah blah blah. I’m so crushed and pissed and just angry and disappointed in myself right now. I just have this gut feeling that I just missed it, my chance, my opportunity. I really feel that job could have changed things around for me…got my life off the rut that i currently feel like i’m in and got me moving in a positive direction. Apparently that just was not meant to be, I have to pick myself up and keep trying…but damn it…I wanted this…andI thought that i still had a chance for it….where did i say wrong, what didn’t i answer correctly….i hate failing myself…
