Musings of a Crackpot

Currently I’m laying in bed in a hotel in santa cruz. I’m going to move into my apartment tomorrow. My mom and i drove past it today and stopped in briefly. The apartment itself doesn’t seem bad at all…the neighborhood didn’t seem the best but then again it didn’t seem the worst either…I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt, but not going to unpack everything just in case. I’m hoping that my furniture will come in either tomorrow or friday…because i’ll be driving to san jose on thursday to drop off my mom at the airport.

We managed not to kill either other, my mom and i. I am really lucky to have family that would take the time to drive across country with me and even do most of the driving. I think that i have a driving phobia about driving in large towns,small cities, or large cities at all….this is something that i’m definitely going to have to overcome.

I don’t know when im going to have internet access again after tonight…i’m supposed to have cable installed and internet service on the 2nd…hopefully i’ll have access at my new job before then. Well i hope that everyone is doing well and that people keep me in their thoughts:-)

So i’m laying here in bed in albuquerque, NM. So far the drive hasn’t been that bad…me and mom haven’t killed each other yet. Talked with Allen today, and the movers finally came and took my stuff. Now i just have to hope that they don’t disappear off into the night with all my furniture. I have at least two more days of driving before we get to Santa Cruz. I’m still excited but I’m ready for this whole move part to be over and for my life to settle down for a little bit. It probably won’t happen until about late september i guess…

current state of things:: most of my apartment is packed up and ready, this would be great except i still don’t have any movers yet:-( This has the makings of a nightmare:-(. My mom and my older brother are on the way, plus i still need to get onto the office and grab some stuff from there plus, i need to pack my car!!….I am so freaking drained….i just want to move…it shouldn’t be this fricking hard:-(. Well this is my last post until i get out west and set back up….everyone keep me in their thoughts….hopefully i’ll resurface soon.

I can never have things go smoothly it seems. Today was supposed to be the day that the movers came and packed up my stuff and started it on it’s merrry way to Santa Cruz. Instead of that happy occasion, I end up calling my QA rep and learning that they aren’t going to be able to pick me up today. Another client missed their estimate by about 4,000 lbs. so there when all the room in the moving truck where my stuff was supposed to go:-(. As of right now, not only don’t i have a time tomorrow for movers to come and pick up my stuff, I don’t even have any movers coming. I’m trying not to stress because I know that world moving services are trying to secure me another moving company but it just seems like all my plans always seem to fail….I’m just really frustrated and worried at the moment. I can’t seem to get this move overwith nearly soon enough
