Musings of a Crackpot

I know what i want for a late birthday present or early christmas gift More than meets the eye! Megatron looks pretty weak, but Hasbro can’t really make a realistic handgun anymore. Starscream and Rodimus both look pretty sweet thou. I’m going to have to collect them all. I really have no choice in the matter.

It’s a gorgeous morning, and I’m sitting and waiting. Waiting for a phone call, I haven’t been this nervous in a long while. I’m waiting for a phone call from a Google engineer. That’s worth getting nervous over. Hopefully the call goes well

This happened right down the street from me. I mean like maybe 100-150 yards from where i work. So far it’s just slowed down traffic. I’ve heard from some of my co-workers that they closed down highway 17. That’s the main highway that goes from Santa Cruz up to San Jose. Well at least my week hasn’t been boring.

Woked up this morning and realized that I had nothing planned, smiled and decided to get out the DDR pad and sweat. So I did, for almost 4 hours. It felt really good to play for that long, to just turn off the higher level parts of my brain and just listen to a beat and move my feet for a while. It was a gorgeous day yesterday and it looks like it’s finally turned that corner from spring to full blown summer. If the end of last summer is any precursor to this one, I shouldn’t see another rainy day until october or november.

I walked around town some yesterday, gas prices are up to $3.30 so that and the desire to exercise more have both combined to me trying to walk around more if I can. It’s definitely a nice change of pace from back home and from maryville, to have lots of places close by and to have a city that’s really geared towards alternative means of transportation. Bike paths are everywhere here and all year round you see walking and biking people. As I was walking back home, some girl in a car that went by yelled something at me. I couldn’t make out what she said but the tone didn’t seem negative so that just made me smile and keep walking. It’s definitely a first, I never have people yell things at me.

It’s early, yet it looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day today, maybe I’ll head down to one of the beaches here that I haven’t explored yet.

Good Thing: Bought my plane ticket home to NC in July.

Bad Thing: Inconsistent paychecks from my employer.

Such is the balance in my life at the moment. I think that it’s time that i seriously start looking for new employment. However, I really like some of my co-workers, I just wish that they could pay me on the regular. Oh well, I fixed a flipbook component yesterday. It was a component that someone in the company had bought but wasn’t working as well as it should. I wonder if the actual developers of the component realize the bug laying in their code.
