Musings of a Crackpot

Busy weekend

Man, what a busy enjoyable weekend. Friday I got together with Aaron, and played some tennis (I lost yet again, i’ve got to reduce my unforced errors). After playing tennis, we were grabbing some food downtown and looked in the metro and saw that a surfing movie was playing. Down the Line was an awesome movie. The combination of the shots, and the commentary from the surfers in the film was really cool. I had already wanted to learn to surf and this just added to that urge. Some of the waves that they showed in Hawaii were just beautiful and insane. The wipeouts were brutal but sorta comical since no one died.

Saturday was a laid back, get some laundry done kind of day. I picked up some food from Charlie Hong Kong’s, the portions there are huge! I watched some football and then vegged out and played some FFXI for a bit.

Today was pretty cool, I got up pretty early for me and went down to the beach to watch the O’Neill Coldwater Classic. It was my first time watching a surfing competition in person. It was pretty interesting, but i wish that it hadn’t been so foggy. I saw a dude ride a barrel and i saw quite a few people get wiped out…awesome stuff all the way around.

After watching the surfers, I went back to the house after stopping to pick up another ddr pad and Aaron and i played against each other in a DDR showdown for the ages. Actually i crushed him for most of the times but he did beat me twice in a row, we also tried the double mode and had a good time with that. Overall it’s been a good weekend and i’m drained…now off to the shower and then charlie hong kong leftovers for me:-)

Current Mood: (good) good
