oh..and happy independence day as well. I finally saw Transformers today, and i’m glad to say that Michael Bay didn’t completely trample upon my childhood. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by how watchable and enjoyable Transformers was. Overall the special effects were incredible, which was to be expected and visually the transformers were done justice. The movie had a good mix of comedic moments and some spectacular battle scenes, with quite a few tips of the hat towards both the original series and the original movie. Both my inner six year old and my older twenty eight year old self had a great time watching this movie and now i eagerly await the eventually sequel(s).
